In 2007, associates in all locations nationwide had the
opportunity to participate in community service projects
organized by Partners in Time. In recognition of this milestone,
Partners in Time will present a special honor, in addition to its
annual Carol Reiser National Volunteer of the Year Award. This
award is considered by many to be the equivalent of a Nobel
Prize for public and community service - the Jefferson Award.
In 1972, the American Institute for
Public Service was founded and
established The Jefferson Awards.
Its mission is to honor individuals
for their achievements and
contributions through public
and community service. This year,
our National Volunteer of the Year
will represent Macy's, Inc. at the
Jefferson Awards National
Ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
in June 2008.
