Giving back to the communities where we work and live is a deeply held value at Macy’s, Inc. We are proud that our contributions, leadership and volunteer efforts help create strong communities–providing a better environment for our stores to do business to do business and for our employees and customers to live and work.

Collectively, contributions in 2012 from the company and the Macy’s Foundation – as well as employee contributions through workplace giving campaigns and customer contributions through our signature giving programs – totaled more than $70 million. Our associates gave more than 125,000 hours of their personal time for community service.
